The private Institute for Forensic Molecular Genetics – IFMG GmbH – grew out of Prof. Dr. Bernd Brinkmann’s forensic molecular genetics group at the Institute of Legal Medicine of the University of Münster. A large part of the group joined the new company in 2007. Since retiring in 2021, Prof. Brinkmann has continued to advise the institute.
IFMG combines decades of experience with current research and modern analytics. We serve private clients, courts, law enforcement authorities, public institutions and companies.
